With a degree in Marine Biology and Biotechnology, believe it or not I always knew I would somehow end up in the hospitality industry. I was always the one planning everyone’s dinner parties, my friend’s birthday parties and designing came so easy, I use to day dream about the job I now am so privilege to have.
How did I get started? Well, right after college I accepted a job at Bertuccis in Boston MA as an Event Manager and it was a done deal! Since that first “official” position, I’ve held positions as the Banquet Manager for Sheraton Hotel, Director of Sales for a private catering and planning company in Boston, I served as the Director of Catering for Hyatt Hotel and a Catering Sales Manager/Wedding Planner for Hilton, Marriott as well Westin Hotels. Needless to say, I have experience in the industry.
What do I love most about my job? Where do I start? I have the best job on the planet! I’m in love with love. I love individualism, I love ethnicity, I love learning about different cultures, I love that most of my girlfriends to date are past clients. I love getting to know my brides and love hearing their proposal stories. I love arranging the little surprises my grooms will often have on the wedding night. I love colors! I love the look on my client faces when we enter the reception room for the first time. I love when a groom says “I never imagined it would look this beautiful!” I LOVE, LOVE and LOVE my job!
Three quick things about me?
A glass of champagne and a fantastic country album cures all things! And I mean ALL…
I can’t just “watch” a TV show; I literally have a profound relationship with a show. Right now, I’m in a deeply committed relationship with Fitzgerald Grand III, Deacon Claybourne and an on again, off again with Jack Bauer
I am a shoe collector. Not an addict but a collector. Just like any good collector, I collect LOTS of shoes!
