If you’re ever in Italy, in the Northern part of Perugia, on the way to Lisciano Niccone, in Umbria there is a splendid, lovingly enchanting restored hamlet dating back to the year 1433, now called Borgo di Bastia Creti. This particular splendid region, is often called the green heart of Italy. This breathtaking and I do mean breathtaking valley offers the most beautiful location for an intimate wedding or an understated, quiet and romantic honeymoon.
With 360 degree views of the valley, Borgo di Bastia Creti is surrounded by a series of olive trees, sweet figs, and amazing pomegranate trees just to name a few. I love this valley because of what it offers its guests. If you’re looking for a venue to host your wedding yet don’t want to house everyone in the same villa, this is perfect! If you’re looking for a honeymoon, this is also perfect!
Borgo di Bastia Creti offers 5 beautifully decorated, spacious stone houses Each home offers several options in sleeping arrangements ranging from Limoniaa with one bedroom, Olivi, 2 bedrooms, the Cottage and Cipressi both with 3 bedrooms and Ginestre with four bedroom. Regardless of your choosing, all furnished elegantly with local tiles, some of them antiques, have been used in the large kitchens and open fireplaces provide a focal point in the sitting rooms. Each bedroom has beautifully appointed, spacious en suite facilities and every property has wonderful views. Off course the property offers a complete buyout for your large yet intimate weddings!
There’s the chapel, well, it was a chapel in its past life. The original chapel has been converted into a magnificent dining and drawing room now known to guests as Club Bastia! With an outside grassy terrace with tables and chairs for dining al fresco, the “Chapel” is a sight for sour eyes!
If you’re looking for things to do in the area, your options aren’t limited to the fantastic amenities offered at the valley! Trasimeno, of particular interest to nature lovers, is just about half an hour’s drive away, while the historic and charming cities of Assisi and Perugia, with their splendid renaissance and medieval landmarks are also an easy drive. While visiting these sweet regions of Italy, I’ve discovered a pure joy of hiking and this particular area is a haven for both hikers mountain bikers as well walkers. Oh, how could I forget? There’s even something for the golfers out there! There are also a number of golf courses within a 20-25 miles away from the property.
Off course, if you’re planning your destination wedding, we would love to assist you! If you’re plan a fantastic honeymoon, we would love to plan that as well. Just reach out to us!
